ALFA

Despite its name, the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) is an organization that encompasses every stage and facet of senior living, not only assisted living.
Headquartered in Washington D.C., ALFA is the largest national organization focused on professionally operated senior living with more than 500 member communities including both multi-community corporations and regional residences. ALFA is a non-profit advocacy organization led by CEO Richard Grimes who contributes an editorial column to the ALFA-owned publication Assisted Living Executive.
The annual ALFA Conference and Expo drew more than 2,000 attendees in 2011. The upcoming 2012 Expo is scheduled for May 16-18.
